Overall, how would you describe your experience at Costain?
The graduate scheme is unique in that it allows you to undertake an entry level day job but with the opportunity to come together as a cohort numerous times in a year for graduate training events, technical curriculum, and additional learning opportunities. During my first year of the grad scheme, I have continuously been given opportunities to develop my career and skills, and to develop personally.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Within my role I undertake a range of tasks, including portfolio and project management, strategy development, opportunity governance, and stakeholder coordination/management.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I am part of a small team, so it is essential that we work together in achieving the sectors strategy whilst allowing the room for us all to develop out personal careers.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The grad scheme offers 2 pay rises per annum and pays for the graduate events and training.

I am able to master BAU tasks whilst also being geared up to tackle new opportunities, with the right support in place to ensure this is exciting and not daunting.
