Overall, how would you describe your experience at NatWest Group?
It has been valuable, I have landed a permanent job before the end of the graduate programme. Good experience and lots of opportunities around networking, learning on the job and gaining professional qualifications.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
there are usually 4 placements in the 2 years, but I rolled off to a permanent role during my 3rd. I enjoyed all, with my first one being a journey developer in the chatbot (Cora) team, where I worked with different stakeholders and customer data to optimise the chatbot journeys. My second placement as a project coordinator where I facilitated initiatives and workshops to champion financial capability in youth. My final was in the customer onboarding team, where I enjoyed reshaping the onboarding of specialised customer journeys for refugees.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I like my current role, due to the responsibility I have been given and with the right amount of support. I have had many opportunities to contribute by leading and owning projects

Why?
Great overall experience, lots of opportunities, safe space to learn and grow, lots of support from managers and team experience across multiple departments, good network of graduates working to upskill together, good benefits and visa sponsorship.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

Overall many teams give lots of responsibilities but the support and experiences will vary depending on the type of work and team.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to NatWest Group?
I would recommend going through the companies values, try to mould your transferable skills to align with the company values and cultures, practise video interviews and consulting case studies for the assessment centre, research company on social media trying to understand their vision and what they're trying to achieve.
