Investment Consulting Review

On a day-to-day basis, my work involves conducting investment research, assisting with CDI valuations, analysing ESG ratings and market data, preparing client and internal reporting materials such as QMR slides, and supporting project work. I also collaborate with colleagues across different teams, attend meetings and coffee chats to gain broader industry insights, and contribute to team projects that address real business challenges. The role combines quantitative analysis, research, client-focused work, and teamwork, providing exposure to a wide range of investment consulting activities.

I was given a good level of responsibility throughout the internship. I supported live client work, including CDI valuations and transition-related projects, and contributed to materials used by the team. I was trusted to complete work independently, with some of my work being reviewed and signed off before being shared more widely. This gave me a strong sense of ownership while still having support and guidance from colleagues when needed.
