Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a pensions actuarial consultant, I spent most days managing member queries as well as doing occasional admin related tasks. So on a day to day basis, I completed many calculations alongside writing letters and reports.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
As much as I could've been given for somebody who is not a qualified actuary. I was able to work independently and produce work that made a difference.

I received a reasonable amount of support and guidance, towards the start I was left to my own devices more than I would've liked but once I understood what I was doing this set-up worked well
