Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Researching modelling and simulation of T-cell engagers. PKPD analysis, QSP modelling, agent-based modelling. Scripting in MATLAB, Julia.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Not a lot initially -- I was mostly given the freedom to pursue my own research project. However, I later requested more responsibilities and then was able to run some simulations for some AZ projects.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes: I have developed skills in research, mathematical modelling (ODEs, PDEs, ABM), scripting (Julia, MATLAB), functional programming, software development. New skills in QSP modelling.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Just enough to help me get started, then I was given independence to manage my own project. I enjoyed this very much, as I was able to develop a much deeper understanding of things, as well as take the project in a direction I thought was best.
