Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I worked as a Corporate Banking analyst focused on TMT clients across EMEA, covering companies ranging from high-growth technology firms to more established media and telecommunications businesses. My responsibilities included financial modelling, valuation and comparable company analysis, preparing client presentations and pitch decks, producing internal reports, and supporting senior bankers with client coverage, transaction execution, and business development activities.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. Despite the internship being only two months long, I was given significant responsibility and autonomy. I took ownership of financial modelling, valuation analyses, pitch materials, and reporting tasks, and was trusted to deliver work independently while supporting live client coverage and business development efforts.
