Overall, how would you describe your experience at Transport for London?

Perfect opportunity top implement what you learnt at university but also learn what being a real engineer involves. You choose your path on this scheme, deciding which placements you want to do and when. Its full your scheme and you are supported with whatever you want to do

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

Multiple rotations from mechanical engineering to project engineering, vehicles or track based. This involved working on more modern railway with Elizabeth line trains, to locomotives from the 90s, working out hauling capacities to new trains that are yet to be put into to service and completing the testing.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
