Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Day-to-Day includes processing orders for a variety of projects up and down the country. Getting to grips with new product knowledge and being able to efficiently apply it to a real-world setting. Getting involved in supplier meetings and learning sessions and applying academic theory.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
From Day one you are given much responsibility whilst being guided through it. Every task has a real outcome. You have a responsibility to communicate with several people inside and outside of the business.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Alongside the technology skills, I have developed in my confidence - using my communication skills to negotiate prices. Similarly, my critical analysis skills have enhanced, allowing me to view a situation from an external, internal and close up lenses.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
In the few months, I was put with a mentor who answered every single little question, they supported me through the first couple orders and still helps me when I make mistakes. You are never truly alone and surrounded by a great support system.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Thus far I am thoroughly enjoying my placement year, it has allowed me to really get to grips what I have been learning in a classroom in a real-world setting. I have experienced opportunities that I hadn't thought possible this early in my career.
