Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Shadowing interviews, organising events, attending careers fairs, helping with recruitment strategy, helping with the onboarding process and training.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I have been given responsibility for many different things. I have been given multiple of my own projects to manage, but I have been supported by my manager and those around me if I need any help or guidance.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed my skills of Microsoft and have received training courses around it and other online systems. I have developed my communication skills and my planning and organising as recruitment is fast-paced, organising interviews, scheduling meetings, attending careers fairs.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a lot of support. My manager was excellent if I needed any guidance, and there are always others around me who I could ask for help. There are many online systems that have directories that can help.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Really good work culture, everyone is extremely friendly and wants to help. I was nervous about working in a manufacturing site, but I haven't met anyone who didn't want to help. There are many social events and schemes to support people.
