Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Working on Land referencing and Title refresh for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects on an Excel spreadsheet. I search up titles on the Land Registry. Then I look whether its a freehold/leasehold ect and proceed with whatever the appropriate referencing whilst logging this on the spreadsheet tracker.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Not loads of responsibility but I always had a task to do which was good. And it was more geared towards learning and observing what other people are doing rather than giving me lots of responsibility. There was always people behind the scenes looking over my work ect so I didn't feel too much pressure.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes I have learnt a lot. I am now more familiar with excel and I can reference land independently which can translate across multiple projects. I feel like I am much better at speaking to people and my confidence has grown massively being in a new environment like a corporate one.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Plenty of support and guidance. I had 2 people in-office who mentored me basically and answered all my questions and if they weren't around I felt I was able to send anyone a message and they would help very promptly by then teams calling me or sending me step-by-step instructions on how to deal with a specific title I was struggling with.

Really Friendly and everyone went out of their way to make sure I settled in and felt comfortable.
