Overall, how would you describe your experience at Computacenter?
Nicest atmosphere you could expect to work in. Our specific department and managers are heavily focused on helping us accelerate in our learning and even beyond into excelling in our roles once the 'graduate' structure ends. Learning in a scheme for a position so complex involves significant foresight and planning by the organisers, which was done incredibly well, letting us maintain a very healthy lifestyle in and out of work.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Involves understanding the 'why' behind a lot of different areas - though not to a level too technical - so we can properly build and cost a multitude of services for our customers. A strong technical acumen helps with the day-to-day of the role (getting hands dirty with models), but equally important is the ability to interact with all those involved in creating a service, including presenting and speaking well.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

The time and effort invested so far has conduced a very high level of appreciation, as is the nature of the company - hard work doesn't go unrecognised. My opinions are always heard and discussed, and often times actioned, which I wouldn't always expect given my career's infancy.

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Management and those around me are embedding an essential knowledge for me to thrive in these environments, which I plan to stay in for the future. Being treated with pure respect already lets me feel like I'm very developed in my career, which certainly helps with actually getting there.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

The nature of the role is sporadic, and yet still the methods and understandings given at the scheme beginning allow me to capitalise on what I would've otherwise not utilised properly - learning to balance highs and lows and knowing how to navigate conversations are a few skills I've been able to hone especially due to the environment cultivated at CC. Right now, every day is an opportunity to build.

How is the support you receive?

Since beginning, there hasn't been a negative experience across not only support but the company, with managers / mentors etc. all even more so welcoming. Being available for conversations, and never being redirected elsewhere all make working here feel easy.
How is your work-life balance?

Learning to deal with working full time / often remote coming from university leaves a gap, but I learned to deal with it my way through actively looking for opportunities to get out the house or more involved. The work isn't overly demanding and managers ensure it can't reach levels that consistently affect us negatively
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

CCs strongest trait to me is the culture that encourages everyone to be comfortable. The atmosphere is healthy and it's hard to feel disheartened speaking to others remotely or in-person.
