Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Computacenter?

I've had a really positive experience at Computacenter. Since joining, I've been given the opportunity to take on a lot of responsibility, build strong customer relationships, and develop skills across service management, commercial governance, financial processes, sustainability, and continual service improvement. The culture is supportive, and I've always felt encouraged to ask questions, learn from others, and take ownership of new areas.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

As a Service Manager, I support a large enterprise customer and act as a key point of contact between the customer and various internal teams. My responsibilities include managing service delivery, coordinating monthly service reviews, tracking financial performance, overseeing device lifecycle and inventory management processes, driving continual service improvement initiatives, supporting sustainability programmes, and managing customer escalations when required.
The aspects I enjoy most are building strong relationships with customers and colleagues, identifying opportunities for improvement, and seeing projects through from idea to implementation. I particularly enjoy the variety of the role, as no two days are the same.

4/5

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Computacenter?

Be open to learning and willing to step outside your comfort zone. The role provides exposure to many different areas of the business, and taking opportunities to get involved beyond your core responsibilities can significantly accelerate your development. During onboarding, make the most of the people around you, ask questions, build relationships early, and take notes as there is a lot of information to absorb in the first few months. Having a proactive attitude will help you get the most from the experience.
