Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I worked with Global Logistics Quality where I was involved with supporting business continuous improvement projects. I worked to create AI agents, supported automation of Excel spreadsheets, hosted regular team meetings and upskilled myself in various digital skills.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was not involved in anything that would involve the supply of drugs or patients directly, but as I worked in external quality, I was working in a GMP/GDP-regulated environment.

I improved my digital skills related to AI, coding and using various digital platforms. Of course, transferable skills like communication and collaboration with large teams were used.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company definitely feels like a big pharmaceutical company with large teams and a large organisation structure. It is what you expect at a corporate job. The atmosphere feels inclusive and supportive.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed gaining experience in a large pharmaceutical company and working in a different function compared to my prior experiences in pharma. The projects I have engaged myself in highly interest me and that made my internship enjoyable.
