Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Daily team meetings, working on projects within a team of 2 graduates and another 2 interns, meetings with stakeholders, workshops aimed to develop the skills of the team, interacting with interns from other divisions on the Community Project that we have to complete as part of the internship in teams of 7, interacting with people from divisions of interest to me to learn more about their job.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed my skills on data science, machine learning, stakeholder management, communication, presenting, team leadership, code version control, topic research, and teamwork.
I have learnt how to build a web-API using Streamlit.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I had weekly one-on-one's with my manager to make sure that everything is OK and discuss how my internship is going. I was very content with the support I have received throughout my time at the FCA. I could approach any team member at any time to ask questions or to get help on something. My team had two Graduates that were working very closely with the interns and could support as throughout.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very friendly and hard-working. Everyone is eager to help and you could chat to anyone regardless of authority. Had many team socials which I really much enjoyed.
