Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I was was working on Project Management under the new FCA Strategy to be a smarter regulator. My main task was to map out projects and tracked them.

Yes, was given plenty of responsibility. The internship is what you make it

I have learnt plenty of skills, both technical - AI, PowerPoint, Excel and general corporate skills - presenting, communication, networking, hosting meetings, taking minutes, etc

A lot - I had a buddy and a mentor, but my team and the entire Leeds office was very friendly and supportive with anything I might need

Very friendly with a good work life balance. A lot of social events in the office so got to know everyone well.

What advice would you give to others applying to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Learn the values of the FCA and JEDs, they are important here. Also learn a bit about the company and where you might want to work - it is huge and lots of work in crime, supervision, authorisations and operations- you can get so much out of the internship with networking and shadowing.
