Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

On a day to day basis my role was to aid my team in developing a software which they use for their daily tasks.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given almost total responsibility during my Internship. A lot of creative freedom was given to me to take the project where I wanted which I appreciated.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I've developed both my technical skills and communication skills. Since the internship started I've had to Interact with people at a much higher level than myself, having to explain my processes and the technical side of my project is something I didn't have much experience with before.

Received a lot of support and guidance, there was rarely a time where I felt lost and If i ever was there was always someone to give good advice to guide me in the right direction.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was very relaxed but proactive, this was probably my favourite aspect of working as it felt like due to the relaxed atmosphere people were able to be way more productive and get a lot of work done.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed it a lot. Getting the chance to dive into the working world a bit early has been invaluable. It has gotten me way more excited and ready to start working.
