Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Using different languages to ingest, process and send data to other teams within the organisation. Day-to-day I use SQL to query databases, analyse data and load data to servers.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given the responsibility to produce, prepare and deploy my own releases for code changes and jobs our organisation runs.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, I have learnt SQL in a lot more detail than I previously had, getting the opportunity to work on real life problems with extreme amounts of big data has changed my perspective on data logistics and how we interact with it.
I have also been using linux to perform tasks and using github for collaboration and version control.

I received high amounts of training before I started the job that was very general. Once I joined my team however, I received further training more applicable to my job role

Very professional culture which I like, maybe lacks socialness with seniors but with other interns it is a great social environment
