Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Computacenter?

Very positive. Across my graduate scheme I was pushed constantly to learn and develop and looking at the knowledge I now have, and the skills I have to deploy that knowledge with, it incomparable to when I started. Early alignment with teams while still being taken on rotations to learn makes it a very welcoming yet testing environment, meaning there are good support networks to help you with feedback & development. Overall I would highly recommend it as a graduate role.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

Doing rotations & using this knowledge to build presentations back to the teams. I also have massively enjoyed spending time with my team and being given responsibility in different projects makes the learning very real. The combination of learning and actioning this in real situations makes it an exciting setup.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

5/5
Being aligned coaches, mentors & buddies from day 1 allows you to build a good relationship with them and help with tenders & projects they are working on. This means you are able to feel you are contributing while also learning.

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The compensation is fair for being paid to learn.

Incredibly quickly, being able to speak to so many experienced figured in the business and get feedback from them, while constantly having checkpoints, roleplays etc means you are encouraged and helped to develop skills throughout.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Computacenter to a friend?

Yes

Why?

I have felt very supported throughout the programme, but the rapid pace of learning coupled with the opportunities afforded after make it an ideal start to my career.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

5/5
The role was largely similar to my expectation, the recruitment process is very thorough and does a good job of giving an informed understanding of the role.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Computacenter?

Be sure to show willingness to learn and adapt. The whole scheme is aimed at teaching you and developing your skills. Skills I considered strengths before joining I had to re-examine and develop . Be confident in your skills, but demonstrate that you are willing to learn and take on feedback.
