Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My overall role was to work within oncology biometrics. Day-to-day I coded different tables we needed for checking outputs, produced simulations for dose escalation and took part in team meetings.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given the right amount of responsibility, enough that I felt important but not so much I believed I would mess up the study if I made a mistake.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Learned how to code in SAS and developed my R programming skills. My communication skills also improved greatly through how much I interacted with different colleagues all over the world.

I received a lot of support virtually from my teams but lacked in person support as none of my team worked in my office.

General atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming. Hot desking allows you to speak to lots of different people.
