Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

On a day-to-day basis our team approves capital for deals that come in in the EMEA region. For this it is essential to review pipelines and do credit analysis for senior people to review the pitch and either approve or decline the capital ask.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes I was given the opportunity to work on presentations and analyze data for very senior people in the bank under time pressure!

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed it almost entirely having a new task almost everyday and receiving a lot of exposure to very senior people in the bank.

What advice would you give to others applying to Citi

I would recommend really getting to know people with the intention of actually getting to know THEM. As this is what Citi is known for actually caring about their employees which you really get a feel of once you immerse yourself in the experience!
