Yes, for a summer inter, definitely. I was an integral correspondent between vendor companies, the risk team and the product team, to make sure everyone was on the same page about governance risks. Got to lead stand-up meetings and take ownership of leveraging AI across the team.

- Learnt to work in a corporate environment, including sending emails and booking times for chats and networking across my division at Citi.
- Learnt how to communicate well with my team and manager, to keep them up to date on what I'm getting up to
- Learnt to ask for more work and then take ownership of it when the time came
- Learnt to prioritise tasks, when things got overwhelming
- Learnt about my business area in detail and what the company is getting up to in that space and new ideas I had to move things further.

- From my buddy, mentor and manager so much encouragement and I felt like if I had any issues or fell ill or made mistakes and was able to handle it correctly, they would have my back and get me back on track
- Really felt like I was cared about as part of the team and encouraged to take a break when needed and nudged to push myself to learn new things
- Also, the other graduate interns helped a lot in understanding the other areas of my division and providing advice on how to tackle the internship
- Definitely a great, comfortable working environment, where I was pushed enough, while not feeling overwhelmed

- Encouraging! Everyone was happy to make time in their diary for me to chat to them and in my team, I was always being taken care of in one way or another. I had enough work to get on with, while still being encouraged to network and find out more about Citi during my 10 weeks.
- I was also able to adapt the program to my interests, so merge my business area with my skill set and various business area interests to create a synergy for the team and add value in the ways I knew best. This helped me learn a lot about myself as well and what I do best

10/10 couldn't have asked for a better team and firm to spend my summer at! It was structured enough that I didn't feel lost, but flexible enough that my team could adapt to my strengths, so I could add the most value I can over the next few weeks and learn as much as possible.
