Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role predominantly involves using software to automate processes. Typical day consists of a daily standup, writing tickets to document workflow, coding with agentic ai, research and further meetings with team to discuss project delivery.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Our internship was working on products within a sandboxed environment, to ascertain business value. I would describe the responsibility as low to medium with regards to affecting NatWest.

Lots of support and guidance was offered during the internship. The onboarding was rather hectic as there was so much tooling and information given, however, they did their best to make sure it was easy to find.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have enjoyed being a part of a team and getting an understanding of what software engineering looks like within a heavily regulated industry. I have enjoyed being busy, but I wish that I had more time for learning and personal development. Other interns within the cohort have different projects and a lot of them are not as intense as the one that my team has been assigned.
