Ive just competed my dental nursing apprenticeship, I appreciate all the support I have gotten over time from my tutor assessor and my colleagues. There have been ups and downs during the apprenticeship but over tome when you start working, it gets easier and easier, I do recommend temp dent agency for anyone who is looking to do an apprenticeship in dental nursing, it’s been a great experience witj them and the support is really good and easy to navigate, i especially recommend my tutor. My work place assessor was different to the assessor I had to do my course work with, she was great and really supportive, she was the best I could ask for very supportive and understanding, would recommend her too.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Dental nursing is a great part of the healthcare service and I would recommend to others to join, it’s fun as yoy get to learn and work at the same time.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I was very nervous at the start, wasn’t good at communicating with patients and had no clue what I was doing, overtime i developed good communication skills, was less nervous and now fully understand the purpose of nursing.

Like i’ve mentioned before all the training providers I've had are really supportive and understanding, for example my assessor was very understanding she Would always support me in things i didn’t understand go over things with me and overall ensured I had full understanding at the end of eat session we had and my other assessor was also very supportive as a work place assessor, she would always support me explain things on how observations work and ensure I had understood, I was very nervous. When I first met my assessor, but overtime I became more confident and was always happy to see her ask questions, that she would always have an answer too.
