Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Cummins?

I was hired by Cummins after a successful placement year and found them to be very supportive and looking to get the best out of their early career staff.
The work environment is great and I have been able to make a great network within my first year. the work that i have been involved in has been very full filling and I have been given real responsibility and ran my own projects.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

Organising tests on gas stand / engines.
Creating BOM's for prototypes and delivering prototypes to customer.
creating test plans for validation of turbochargers

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

from my first week I have felt like a key part of the team. I now own prototyping for 2 projects and people approach me for insight.

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The pay is good for a graduate roll. however there is some higher paying companies out there. Gym membership would be a good perk to have especially being an office based role.

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Extremely well the project work I am involved in is at a high level and very transferable.

How is the support you receive?

I started my journey with Cummins as a graduate in a department that didn't suit me. I raised this to management and within a month they had moved me to another role which has been great. It was really effecting me and I am super grateful that they supported me.

i have been involved in multiple charitable events since starting Cummins, they have been great and i have enjoyed every one of them. From clearing woodland to science festivals.
