I was supported by every single person on my immediate team, and I felt I could reach out to anyone for help if ever I needed it. My buddy especially helped create a welcoming environment during my time at Amex.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very social, connecting with people across business units and people in leadership is normalised which creates a lot of opportunities. The general atmosphere in my experience has been really positive and friendly. There's also lots of social networks and volunteering opportunities and community challenges which provides a wide variety of things to get involved in.

What advice would you give to others applying to American Express

I would say to get in the habit of taking initiative and being able to appreciate what certain opportunities can provide. That went a long way for me in terms of getting noticed and that in my opinion is the most challenging part of the hiring process.
