Working on internal tooling. Attending standups on a daily basis, researching and implementing new features/bugfixes through feature branches and PRs

Yes, I was given a fair amount of agency and responsibility. We were expected to deliver full features and to work with other employees on the same project actively

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
On top of developing my python skills, I learned new libraries such as pandas and streamlit. Also learned a lot about kubernetes/EKS and S3 and other cloud services and how they are used at scale

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was assigned a technical mentor which was within my team - they were always available for questions and help. Additionally, I was also assigned another mentor which was an intern the previous year and met with her on a weekly basis. This helped with integrating more into the company culture and helped with other questions

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Super relaxed, everyone was friendly and understanding. Even the senior leadership was very open to have chats with me which was a nice surprise
