Overall, how would you describe your experience at Transport for London?
Great - love the company and the people. Great energy and kind people working on best solution for customers, also a real emphasis on diversity and inclusion and thinking about the green future
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My current role is basically working in two stretching placements to work to drive a workstream to success, with people leader responsibilites.
Firstly working within the area of the business that solves internal and external probelms, working with a range of stakeholders to solve exciting problems.
Secondly working within a major project at early development and feasibility stage to really ensure that we have correct requirements, assumptions and ensure benefits will be achieved.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

You are given the support to be able to develop and contribute to real peieces of work which directly impact the lives of millions of Londoners and commuters.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Pension is very good, as well as the travel benefits, free oyster card for you and a person living in your house, which saves thousands. I can't give 5/5 as we don't get bonuses, and we don't get any financial motivation like other compamnies do, we used to get vouchers for doing above and beyond through nominations but that scheme was sadly scrapped.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Its a very good place to feel supported and able to develop, yet I worry it might be quite a bubble of working within london governance structure and differ widely to private sector, if you wanted to make that transtion of course.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
My scheme has a training budget dedicated towards it as well as a whole in depth training moudles course which goes through different aspects of being a people leader monthly, in addtion to dedicated senior mentor support and a life coach. Its fantastic.

We have so much fleixbility in when and where we work and the business is very amenable to adjustments, with some people just working from home and some people purely in the office.
