Overview of practice area including specialisms within the practice area. Meetings with buddies and supervisor to assign the task and then an opportunity for feedback. There was also meetings with stakeholders, explaining the trajectory of the firm and scope of work for those retained on a permanent basis.

DLA Piper provided very detailed insight as to what a future career at the firm would entail, relying both on examples of existing and future opportunities, as well as providing opportunities to engage with key stakeholders and other permanent employees regarding their experiences.

DLA Piper hosted a workshop with an industry expert on career development and skills recognition who offered invaluable advice on incorporating one's existing skills to promote success. I better understood my own skills and how to leverage them, and learned how to leverage the same skills in different situations; a new skill itself.

The company is very inclusive and people are very friendly. However the availability of networking with people is highly dependant on team availability and busy periods, which is understandable.

It was great and I can carry over skills and insight into my future workplace.
