Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a Project management placement student my day to day involves supporting live projects. I have managed large data sets and dealt with asset lifecycle management. I have managed project finances, tracking expenditure and chasing or disputing invoices, and managed the project financial forecasting, presenting the forecast to senior internal stakeholders. I communicate with both internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis and ensure everything is aligned. Outside of my day to day I have also been able to work with the presales team on a Copilot agent development piece and have been working on how AI can improve efficiency within the company; something I presented to senior solutions developers within the company.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility and even had the opportunity to cover Project Manager work and take ownership of important aspects of a live project.

stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills, Agile Project management, Organisation skills, Data management, financial reporting, I am proficient now in SAP and Excel, financial management.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Lots of support from my manager and the early careers team. When I was really busy and struggling to manage my time or had any escalations, my manager was quick to assist and help me to solve the issue. The support I received has been excellent and I always felt I could ask as many questions as I needed.

Really friendly and relaxed. No one is ever too busy to speak to you. It is an extremely welcoming environment.
