Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

We had 2 rotations in departments that we got to rank in order of preference. Depending on the rotation, you would be involved in different kinds of tasks. For example tasks could range from client work, regulatory compliance documents, legal research etc.

How would you rate the structure of the insight

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

We had an induction in London which went over almost every core aspect of the firm. The sessions were long enough to be able to get a good grasp of what each sector was offering and what type of work one would do during their day to day.

You get a lot of exposure to the practice area you're working in and so as a consequence of that you learn so many new terms/forms/practices etc.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone I have interacted with has been more than happy to speak with me and interact with me and get to know me on a more personal level which I appreciate. It's evident that the firm is eager to invest in their young talent.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I really enjoyed the London induction as I got to meet so many different people from all the different DLA offices around the UK and Ireland. I really liked the placement itself, I think I have come out of it more knowledgeable and confident in my abilities.
