Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

As a vacation scheme student, I attended various sessions on different practice areas. I was assigned a supervisor where I was given a research task alongside other tasks that my supervisor needed support in. I also initiated coffee chats with people across the firm.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, my supervisor gave me additional tasks beyond the research task, which gave a real insight into what it was like to work at the firm.

A lot. The graduate recruitment team was very supportive and answered any questions we had. My supervisors also clarified anything I was unsure about.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Really friendly. Everyone I met was extremely welcoming and made me feel a part of the firm. My supervisors were very attentive and included me in meetings and training sessions, which made me felt like I developed a genuine relationship with them.
