Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Get given tasks by your manager to complete. You will also have training sessions that are two hours long twice a week which cover different topics each week. During these training sessions, you will have to complete multiple group projects and presentations

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

You are not given too much responsibility during the summer internship as it is only three months long so they don't have much time to train you on too many things.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I learned how to become more confident in creating and presenting presentations. The internship really focuses on working alongside a team and making many presentations. Whether or not you are presenting them it allows yu to work on your presentation skills for when you will have to submit a project or a request.

Everyone was extremely helpful. If I had any questions or needed help, I knew I could ask a team member, manager, or email somebody, and I would be taken care of.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone there was very kind. One of the reasons I was looking forward to going back to the office was to see my team and all of the other interns working there as they are all lovely people.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I found my internship very fun. I got to meet new people every day, attend talks and events and see what it is like to work in an office everyday. It is a great opportunity and everyone should take it if they get the opportunity to do so.
