Lots of support and guidance, everyone was always happy to help and answer any questions. You could speak to other people across the business, brands and functions to get an idea of their job roles and what they do. There was training for undergraduates and e-learning and my team was always very supportive with my line managers and I having weekly 1-1 check-ins.

Everyone was very happy to be working at Volkswagen, the moral was high. I think everyone in the company had a real passion for cars and had been involved in many of the brands and functions within different teams and job roles and so they were very knowledgeable and many had stayed within the business 10 years+.

I really enjoyed my placement year, I gain lots of new skills, met lots of new people and learnt lots about my role as well as other areas and roles across the business and how they work and operate. I had lots of opportunities to get involved in different things such as ENG's and meetings, working with suppliers and presenting in department meetings and to the network.
