Overall, how would you describe your experience at Volkswagen Group UK?
Great experience throughout my two year Graduate scheme. Working in three different roles across two years gave me a breadth of experience which was supplemented by various projects.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My roles included Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) Programme Development Executive, Volkswagen Passenger Cars (VWPC) Digital Executive and One Aftersales Planning and Pricing Analyst. I particularly enjoyed in a small project team developing a global project in VWCV, the tangible outputs of my work in VWPC, and the business critical pricing analysis as part of my role in Aftersales.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I was trusted to complete critical work in all the teams I worked in, and felt valued in all teams I worked in.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The standout benefit is the company car, which all Undergraduates and Graduates are entitled to. As a Graduate, I was able to choose a new company car every 6 months, so across the two years I had a Volkswagen T-Roc, Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf, CUPRA Formentor and recently a Volkswagen Tiguan.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

The various roles built a breadth of professional skills, strengthened through Graduate training sessions and projects.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

The scheme is a steep learning curve due to it's fast nature, but the result is a high rate of development.

I am a volunteer for INSPIRE Further Education, an employee network group focused on helping College and University students prepare for their future careers. In the two years I moved from Team Member, to University Coordinator, to Further Education Stream Lead, which now gives me the opportunity to lead a team of 10.
