Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My Role in general is the day to day IT support for Manufacturing elements within the business. Maintenance, Commission, Decommission as well as aiding in Projects.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a lot of responsibility with access to critical infrastructure and tasks that could potentially have caused serious issues to the company if not completed to a high level of skill.

I have learnt an immense amount with regards to skills including expending on my existing knowledge of IT whilst also learning about how the company configures their systems compared to the industry standards.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The atmosphere is professional whilst still providing a sense of calm which can be difficult in large organisations. The culture is amazing with the core tenets of the company working for employees rather than against them.
