Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Accounting and finance-related work. Mostly includes month-end tasks and journal entries, along with ad-hoc work, running financial reports and accruals, and more.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was responsible for posting a variety of journal entries ahead of month end, this can include warehouse related charges, or intercompany cross charged. I also was tasked to run accruals and sent them to the relevant sites to be used by them. I managed a wide range of supplier accounts - ensuring they were kept correct and up to date.

I have understood fundamental accounting and finance skills which have been valuable. I have also understood the important of soft skills such as having a strong work life balance, working under pressure, being communicative with the team, and much more.

I worked with a very welcoming and supportive group of people, not just within the finance team, but in other departments on site too. I felt comfortable asking any questions or raising any concerns.
