Overall, how would you describe your experience at CBRE Group?
Very good, I felt very supported in my APC and able to flourish with extra curricular activities.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy the responsibility you get, as the largest real estate company in the world you get to work with big clients and advise them on technical aspects of their project/property

the APC scheme is very supportive and will expose you to a lot of different experiences but it all builds towards your APC and future career, I am getting confident every day that I work.

How is the support you receive?

I was given a buddy and a mentor to help me through my first 6 months at CBRE. on top of this I was given a Supervisor and a Councillor to help me prepare for the APC documents and the APC documents.
How is your work-life balance?

Due to the nature of being a surveyor, I work in the office and away visiting sites, this balance of having my own time and working closely with my team enables me to have the independence but also support that enables me to work so well.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

From supporting charities to having volunteer days and fitness challenges to raise money, CBRE has an excellent reputation for caring and maintaining a great work culture. it supports working from home if needed but as a grad I would recommend going in to the office as much as possible and taking all of the information as possible.

we have several networks, from the womens network, proud network and the BaME network, promoting DEI and and fostering an inclusive atmosphere has been made clear to me at my short time at CBRE.
How would you rate CBRE Group CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

I have rowed 50km in a fitness challenge to raise £30k for Alzheimer's , as well as taking part in sporting activities to raise money for Cancer Charities.

review news and podcasts to gain a better understanding of the real estate industry as a whole. also working on you're problem solving and leadership skills in helpful.
