Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The insight was a deeper look into roles within technology available at LBG, we heard from people working there, there roles and how technology is incorporated and the levels of technical proficiency. We also stretched our technical capacity including a hackathon, working in product development etc.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I think it was informative but maybe it would be helpful to include a range of individuals across the different levels of seniority within the tech sector at LBG and opportunity for development within the company as this is an important factor for those entering the workplace.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
We were introduced to beginner programming which I hadn’t done before. I was able to develop my ability to innovate as we came up with creative ways to improve existing systems and products for example user interface within online banking.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I think it was very friendly and light hearted, those hosting made us feel as comfortable and encouraged and possible to share our ideas and answers even if we weren’t confident to use it as learning opportunities. They were also very helpful with any technical issues too

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed I think there were many learning opportunities and I felt very stretched in terms of the challenges we were set which was great. It was a really refreshing and interesting introduction to the tech sector
