Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, it felt like I was a part of my team and not "just an intern". Other team members and other colleagues sometimes came to me with questions and not my manager because they had confidence I would know the answer, etc.
I was in charge of a rebranding development and kept handbooks up to date, created a new branding handbook for company standards.
