Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a Placement Student in General Ledger, I support AR and intercompany accounting processes, including resolving invoice issues, processing credits and re-invoices, supporting reconciliations, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given a high level of responsibility. I independently managed financial queries, processed credit and re-invoicing requests, contributed to collections activities, and coordinated with stakeholders to resolve issues, demonstrating ownership of key accounting tasks.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I developed new and improved old skills in excel, power Query and Outlook. I also gained new experience on working with accounting programs such as HHP - Oracle, BOLT and Ariba.
