Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I worked in the Inventory team, My day-to-day tasks included running a report and comparing what our 3pl has sent in to our plant and what we have received ensuring these are aligned. Other tasks included helping with invoice queries from the Finance team and helping support the wider team.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I would say I was given a lot of responsibility as I was solely working with the 3pl on aligning the stock levels.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

My IT skills have significantly improved as I am using excel everyday and I have become more and more familiar with it. I would also say my communication and confidence has impropved by working with other teams to resolve problems that occur.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It was good but could be improved, most people are happy with their roles and what is requires of them making me feel very welcomed to openly discuss matters, however this was not the case everywhere.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement, I have got to speak to several teams within the organisation which has definitely boosted my confidence
