Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The insight involved a broad range of interactive group work and skills sessions, as well as talking with various members of the CMS team. Tasks were designed to build upon commercial awareness and team working skills.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
We got a real feel for the culture and make up of the firm. We learn a broad range of functions, including how the business development team offer value and opportunities within the firm. It was so insightful and allowed me to see how a potential career could progress and develop with CMS.

I learned the importance of understanding the market in which individual clients work. I particularly learned how vital a strong People strategy and One Team approach is to a successful law firm.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general atmosphere was underpinned by a strong people and D&I strategy. The one team approach was clear; and everyone I met was down to earth and willing to debunk any myths about legal practice in commercial law. I felt very at ease and comfortable.
