Insight day Review

It was a really great opportunity to speak to lots of people from different teams within the firm, learn about their roles and day-to-day work and ask as many questions as possible. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the structure of the day was a great balance of friendly and informal but also informative.

This was the part of the insight day that stood out the most - not only were all of the team talks insightful in terms of the information provided about different departments, but they also painted a clear picture of the real working life of different people at Irwin Mitchell, as told from the perspective of individuals at all stages of their careers.

Absolutely, the insight day provided a great opportunity to build my communication skills - speaking to other attendees and people at the firm - while also offering good interview practice.

Every person that I spoke to at the firm was incredibly friendly, happy to talk freely in response to a wide range of questions and helpful. The firm had an immediately welcoming atmosphere upon first arriving and that continued throughout the whole day!

Be yourself - the firm wants to know what your true motivations are for applying to them specifically. Try not to look at general motivators for training somewhere and reflect on yourself and why it is that you really want to train there.
