Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My Job is to get the site to achieve their Environmental targets. I would look after new projects and get environmental funding by using current data and forecasting savings. I would also run special events for sustainability and raising awareness.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given responsibility over site spill kits and ensuring they are well documented and monitored for usage. Working with the waste team to ensure they complete their weekly audits and other relevant documentation.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

My manager supported me through weekly 1:1 sessions. She always made my questions feel valid and supported. The team supported me through experience and opinions which aloud me to take my work to the nest level.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

My team worked onsite everyday. I found this a great way to connect and develop a workplace friendship. As a team we had weekly team meetings where a friendly environment was welcomed.
