Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Each day we had a different speaker from a particular division of the firm come speak to us and give us and introduction to their side. In addition, we had 3 sessions with Amplify Trading which were really fun and got to learn a lot from them. Not only that, we had a fun social at the end of the first day to get to know others in the spring more and have fun!
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
At first it was a bit overwhelming but we had the chance to ask questions during breakout rooms where the speakers gave us a breakdown of their roles and what they did on a daily basis.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Over the 5 days I felt a if I developed my presenting skills as we had a session with market specialists who watched our pitches and gave us some feedback. Also, I was able to improve my communication skills by working on my body language throughout the spring and while talking to peers.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture really reflected through the speakers who all mentioned the collaborative and helpful environment they worked in. Everyone seemed willing to take some time out to help you if needed and answered all of the questions clearly. The atmosphere was very friendly and one in which one could really grow.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the insight programme! It was one of the best experiences I've ever had as it included the right balance of everything: talks, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, trading simulations, networking sessions and even fun socials! Not only that, the people I met during the spring were amazing and we all got along very well.
