Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I was learning the basics of chefing and all the skills needed to develop like knife skills, team skills, time managment, using different proteins and vegetables to make dishes with them. I started as a kitchen porter and then decide to do the apprenticeship in which i got a distinction - using this i have climbed the ranks of commis, chef de partie and now sous chef doing a level 3 pastry apprenticeship

Yes i have learnt many new skills as i have progressed up the ranks to sous chef and have just started a level 3 pastry course

Very organised as i can track it all online and have monthly catchups with my tutor

Lots of support, they ordered in what i needed and helped me achieve a distinction

My training provider always supported me as we caught up every month to see what i a had to do and create a plan so i could finish
