The company provides interesting work in specific areas which I want to develop my skills and experience, ensuring the work is challenging and there is clear learning outcomes to achieve with the support when challeneges.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt about the development of building, the "behind the scenes" before a shovel is in the ground, the complex legal and regulatory framework which governs buildings. How to apply different standards and guidance such as PAS 9980 for external wall assessment, Approved document B both volume 1 and 2, BS 9991, BS 9999.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The company ensure the work relates to the degree and apprenticeship standard, hours can be logged as off the job and provide clear communication of what is expected. They have close links with the university checking in with me to ensure every thing I require.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The employer has supported significantly, especially relating to disabilities. They have been open to learning about my disabilities, how they can, what funding is required, and even gone so far to provide training to management and include the training provider. They have funded required software to support me with task management, spelling and grammar, reading. They have have also spent the time to listen and provide time off when I lost a relative. They did what I said I need to be supported without question. They allowed me to adjust my hours so I could also complete my training provider's coursework within the schedule time while grieving for my lost relative.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Following various incidents from the training provider and reshuffle of staff I now receive excellent support from my training provider. They have a dedicated inclusive support person I can communicate with, an apprenticeship coordinator which understands my disabilities, and training for senior and class lectures.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, company provides team events to network internally, a annual training budget of £500 per person, with allowance for further pending approval from the training committe. Regular virtual training session are held. A professional training scheme is provided for all new starters in person, to allow us to network and improve our professional skills communicate. A monthly rolling social budget of £100 is present for all employees to spend at our discretion.

Understand the role, do some further reading of Approved Document B, we will not tolorate incompetence, or you not staying true to our values.
