Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

One a day-to-day basis, I combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery. This includes analysing people data to identify trends and risks, advising leaders on complex people matters, and influencing decision-making, I lead and support transformation initiatives, such as improving colleague experience, embedding new ways of working, and driving consistency across teams. I also collaborate across People & Culture (HR) and the wider business to design and implement practical solutions, ensuring policies and processes are applied effectively while keeping a strong focus on colleague experience and business outcomes.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really value the opportunity to step back from day-to-day work and build my knowledge in a more structured way, linking theory to what I do in my role. The apprenticeship has helped me strengthen my thinking, particularly around evidence-based practice using data to inform better decisions. I value the balance of development, real-world application, and the chance to continuously improve how I support the business.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer really supports my development by not only giving me an opportunity to develop and learn through the apprenticeship, but also my line manager supporting me through it.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5

I have regular catch ups and check-ins with my tutor, workshops to learn and review learning. Review sessions with the tutor and my line manager and also additional support when requested.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification and my role compliance by each other helping me flex from both sides, there are some great examples where my work has giving a great opportunity to up-skill and develop and makes the qualification feel smoother to navigate. Also the qualification supplements my role with the audition learning and theory.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have had the please of attending a few internal expo events but also the opportunity to attend external events too
