I knew a lot of theory before I started but didn't have much hands on knowledge. Now working in the factory every day means I have practical experience.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

Everyone helps a lot if I need it. My mentor taught me the basics of welding and I couldn't have done the more complex stuff without her support at the start.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My college mentor comes to site often and supports us with our online work. If I'm struggling I can ring him even on days we don't have a meeting.
