Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

An overview of my role is planning and completing any work in the office through meetings and discussions with my team members so that work needing to be completed on site is ready to be done. Tasks could range from completing task briefing sheets for workers working in site, making sure documents are up to date with the relevant information for the current job that’s being undertaken and printing of documents for workers to use for gaining knowledge and understanding of where certain items may be on site like health and safety points or fire exits. On a day to day basis I get to work and log into my computer, check for any new emails and team messages that may have come in and respond to them. After this I have a meeting with my team and go through all the work that was carried out the night before and go through various documents to make sure plans are in place and accurate. After this. I work through some documents that may need to be used for future work and then carry on filling out documents until the end of the day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

So far I’ve really enjoyed the programme I’m in, it’s given me so many good opportunities to meet new people and get involved in social events like playing for the departments football team and completing my pway (permanent way) educational course which was a really good experience, whilst providing me with great new skills and knowledge.

So far I have been able to improve existing skills like improving my communication with workers and employees, whilst being able to learn new skills through courses and teaching.

My programme is very well structured, it’s has clear and organised documents that allow me to track when each of my placements are and where they will be. It balances college and office work well.

The qualification allows me to have a better understanding of what and why employees are completing various tasks, allowing me to learn better and more effectively.

They have so may benefits that you can have that some companies aren’t able to offer which is amazing.
